Great activity with the kids. A short trip up the river and back. Just enough to see some of the wildlife (we saw a heron and a Peregrine falcon) and the famous Pulteney bridge and weir. A lovely perspective of the city from the river. The guide was very good with some interesting facts which kept the kids engaged. It is a small boat which made it feel quite special, we were the only people downstairs so it felt like a private tour!
Andy, our guide, was so knowledgeable about Bath's history and literally fit 2000 years of history into an hour and a half tour and talk! We walked around to many of Bath's key points of interest... Not even the torrential rain stopped us as it was just so interesting. Andy was open to all questions we had and, what's more, he knew the answers... I'd say it was the best, most interesting tourist walk I've ever taken.
It was wonderful. Karen was an excellent guide, so nice and competent. Malcolm the driver was so sympathetic and funny. All the safe mesures were done. It was an amazing day. I recommend!!! Now I have to wait the second lockdown ends to get another tour.
The boat ride was short but informative. It was very warm with the fire and the crew ensured good social distancing and other measures due to COVID-19. The crew were polite and helpful. They were also clearly very knowledgeable about the local area.
We had the time in 1h30 to learn a lot about the city, its history and architecture. Fred was our guide and on top of being knowledgeable was extremely friendly. I would definitely recommend that tour.
