Experience

The experience
  • Float down the River Avon in a traditional cruiser boat
  • Enjoy 2 glasses of Prosecco along the way
  • Admire sights including Pulteney Bridge and Bath Abbey
Full description
On sunny days, enjoy an open cockpit roof on the boat and on cooler days, stay cozy and warm with a real coal fire. As you enjoy your trip in this authentic and lovingly restored 1960s small cruiser, your skipper will point out the key attractions.  See the entrance to the Kennet and Avon Canal, which links London with the Bristol Channel, and cruise under North Parade Bridge. Look out for nesting peregrine falcons at the 19th-century St. John’s Church, and marvel at the views of Pulteney Bridge, the rushing weir, and the city center architecture, including the 17th-century Bath Abbey. Enjoy your view with 2 glasses of Prosecco while you pass under Halfpenny Bridge and see the location where the old wharves used to stand, the central point of Bath’s trading links with Bristol since the 18th century.

Very difficult to find boat, which didn’t look fit for the job, compared to the internet pictures. To be fair once on the open board it was ok, the Prosecco was cold and the information given by the Master was interesting. After a dubious start all in all not bad trip.

We absolutely loved this trip!!! We were sat on the captains chairs and had the pleasure of chatting to the boat driver during the trip, he was full of interesting information and was a pleasure to chat to. We enjoyed how relaxing it was and how the lovely young lady made sure we were topped up with prosecco. Would definitely recommend!!! Great fun

We really enjoyed the boat trip as it’s a good way to see some of the sights of the city The young lady who spoke to us about the history of the bridge and so on seemed very knowledgeable She also topped up our prosecco regularly! We were offered nibbles but we didn’t know we could have them so maybe they could advertise that more as they sounded delicious Highly recommend the tour especially if it’s your first time in Bath
