Historical and Spiritual Jorney in Four Papal Basilicas

You won't be attached to a large group, we take from 2 to 6 persons to create more memorable experience with more individual approach. You'll be able to visit all four Pontifical Basilicas in one day, to hear about their historical, cultural and theological background, according to your interests and requests. You'll admire masterpieces of Michelangelo, Bernini and Giotto and immerse yourself in spiritual and philosophical insights. We'll begin from Basilica of St. Paul outside the Walls with its calm and meditative atmosphere, but very turbulent and difficult history. Then, by bus, we'll arrive at de jure main cathedral of Roman Catholic Church, San Giovanni in Laterano and by side of it, also climb Scala Santa nearby. After that, on foot through Via Merulana, we'll arrive to one the biggest and oldest Marian Churches, Santa Maria Maggiore with its stories of religious and cultural significance. Then we can go for a lunch or eat some snacks (optionally) before final visit to St. Peter's Basilica and Vatican Grottoes with Papal tombs. The main tour info: * Meeting point: via Ostiense, 333 near the exit of "Basilica San Paolo" metro station (Metro B). * Start: 9:00 * Duration: 4-5 hours, including transportation between main points and waiting in the line to St. Peter's Basilica. Can be longer in case of long waiting line, if you decide to add some other points to visit or if we take a break to eat snacks. ATTENTION, PLEASE: This tour does NOT give you a possibility to skip the line for St. Peter's Basilica or any other. * Dress code: please, prepare comfortable shoes for walking and clothes that cover your shoulders and knees.

I loved the whole tour and to see everything on the route. The commentary on it's loudest level is not audible at times especially if the other people on the bus are making a noise. Other than that, all was good.

Highly recommended! You see a lot of the city and have a good and less busy means of transport to get to the attractions!
