Basilica of St. Mary of the Angels and the Martyrs

Explore Assisi's cathedrals on a guided tour in a tuk-tuk focused on the life of St. Clare. Visit the Basilica of St. Clare, San Damiano, and more with a local guide. Begin the tour at the Cathedral of San Rufino (Saint Rufinus), where St. Clare was born and baptized in 1193-94. Then, continue to the baptismal font and St. Clare’s house. Afterward, head to the Porziuncola (or small Catholic church of Saint Mary of the Angels), where St. Clare received her investiture, before moving on to the Park of Mount Subasio to visit Sant’Angelo in Panzo. Next, discover San Damiano, where St. Clare lived for 42 years and died on August 11, 1253. End the tour at the Basilica of St. Clare, where the saint is buried.
