Our Guide, Anna was very knowledgeable and took us to many sites in Basel! We had a chance to see many view points from different areas and heard a great amount of history. Anna made the tour very personable and relate able to the whole all from different parts of the world. It was easy to tell how proud Anna is of her adopted country and it made it so pleasurable for all of us! We covered a lot of area a Very Good walking tour!

Really good tour and we learned a lot about the history of Basel. The walking was a good slow pace and we stopped at many interesting places to learn what happened there. The tour guide was very nice and personable, and a good storyteller. The only negative was that it was difficult to hear sometimes because there was a large-ish group and no projection. But overall, great benefit for the price!

Overall, the tour through Old Basel Town was informative. Fortunately, more than half the group, though German (and English ) speaking, agreed to have the guide narrate in English throughout, or else it would have been a one-star tour. The guide was very knowledgable, with some well-prepared visual aids that were very helpful. At several spots, her words were drowned out by ambient noise (fountains, construction etc) so moving 10-15 yards would have been more efficient. Would have been willing to pay extra for individual ear pieces with audio boxes-I see they are available and very effective.
