Lifting off from the Hoffnungsthal Valley, enjoy a helicopter flight northeast over Rowland Flat home of Jacob’s Creek Winery, where some of Australia’s largest wine tanks are located - these tanks hold up to 1.4 million litres of WINE! From there your flight takes you to the southern end of the Barossa, past the town of Lyndoch, over the Barossa Goldfields and over the Whispering Wall which holds back the Barossa Reservoir, returning finally to our base in the Hoffnungsthal Valley.

Lifting off from the heli-pad in the Hoffnungsthal Valley, enjoy flying over Rowland Flat taking in the views of Jacob’s Creek Winery’s “tank farm”, before heading to Lyndoch, at the southern end of the Barossa, where you will arrive in style at Kies Family Wines. From our landing site directly at the entrance to Kies Family Wines Cellar door you will be introduced to the Kies Crew, who give great pleasure in guiding you through a tasting of their extensive range. Choose your favourite and then head to the café for a delicious 2 course lunch. Lifting off from the Hoffnungsthal Valley we cruise past the township of Lyndoch veering right, to fly along the western ridge of the Barossa Valley. Here you will see the vast plains that make up the mid-north area whilst viewing contouring vineyards, rolling hills, and the palm tree-studded roads that lead to Historic Seppeltsfield Winery. Continuing towards Nuriootpa, your pilot will point out Maggie Beer’s farm and the famous Penfold’s Winery, before flying down the valley floor over Tanunda where you can see the stunning old buildings of Chateau Tanunda and many old churches. Flying further south you will enjoy a view over Jacob’s Winery, home of some of the largest wine tanks in Australia each tank holding up to 1.4 million liters of wine. From there your flight takes you to the southern end of the Barossa, past the town of Lyndoch, over the Barossa Goldfields and the Whispering Wall returning finally to our base in the Hoffnungsthal Valley.

Lifting off from the heli-pad in the Hoffnungsthal Valley, enjoy flying past the township of Lyndoch before tracking along the western ridge of the Barossa Valley to Historic Seppeltsfield. Here you will see vineyards contouring the rolling hills, palm tree studded roads and the Seppelt Family mausoleum. From there you will fly over Maggie Beer’s farm and the famous Penfold’s Winery before veering along the eastern side of Nuriootpa, around the Wolf Blass winery, and then marvelling at the view over the large limestone quarry near the town of Angaston. A little further on you will get a bird’s eye view of one of the most beautiful horse racing studs in south Australia – McEvoy-Mitchell Racing. From Angaston the view is an awesome 180-degree view of the Barossa valley and beyond, you can literally see for miles! As you descend into the valley towards Tanunda, your pilot will point out some of the historic buildings and settlements like Chateau Tanunda and Bethany. Beyond Tanunda is Rowland flat – home of the famous Jacobs Creek where you will view some of Australia’s largest wine tanks, some of which are up to 1.4 million litres each. From there we take you to the southern end of the Barossa, past Lyndoch, over the Barossa Goldfields and the Whispering Wall (the Barossa reservoir) before finally returning to the Hoffnungsthal Valley.
