A blast from the past is essential to the pasta experience. After visiting the Basilica of St. Nicholas, the main squares, the Swabian Castle and the Cathedral of St. Sabino, a moment of interaction with the local ladies is not to be missed. In Bari grandmothers open up the doors of their houses from the early hours of the morning, come out singing old songs, sweep the stone floor and scatter their homemade orecchiette on the mesh screens of wooden trays. Stop in a lively, populated and animated location, a local lady’s house opened to everybody where the grandmother combines real life and interaction with tourists. If you are interested in living like a real local, we will not disappoint your expectations. Nonna Maria will catch you up in chatting while kneading semolina and making orecchiette of all sizes. My experience with Velo Service Tour & Rental was more than expected. I did managed to book in wrong language, and then a girl called me and asked if we still wanted the tour with a spanish speaking guide, because she could see from our names that we perhaps didn't speak spanish. Our tour guide Barbara did it excellent. It was clear that she knows the history of Bari very well but she managed to keep the told story short and informative with a good humor. We had a very nice tour round in Bari old town with pasta making, wine and good icecream. Can only recommend others to book this trip.

This tour was a great experience! Our guide was very knowledgeable and showed us a number of interesting locations throughout the Bari old town area. The pasta making part of the tour was very fun. Highly recommend this tour experience!

We had fantastic time. Emanuela was fun and energetic and very knowledgeable. I totally recommend her guiding you through this beautiful town.

It was great. Turned into a biking tour and then food tour. Julia, our guide, was fabulous

Guido was great. Very knowledgeable and personable. Would definitely recommend.
