He was very professinal giving us many useful informations about the trip ensuring that we have all info about the meeting point, departure hour, everything needed for the trip. Then we met our guid in Matera and we were impressed by his knowledges. Matera is an amazing place, much over our expectations. We knew Matera by internet, but being there, seeing and feeling the place, with a guide showing and explaining, it is an incredible experience. We were a small group of four people. Our driver Giovanni was friendly and polite. Our guide Luigi was excellent. He knew a lot and answered all our questions. The tour was very interesting. The only thing that I didn't like was that we had too little time in Matera. We definitely needed two or three hours more there.

Full description

Come to the meeting point to start the tour. Board the bus and go on a short drive to Matera. Then, follow your guide around this UNESCO World Heritage Site for an immersive tour. See the famous "Sassi", which are stone houses carved into caves, and learn about the town's history. Enjoy some free time to wander around the charming streets. Buy souvenirs in some artisan shops, and savor delicious local food. After a while, get back on the bus and relax on the return journey to Bari. Get off the bus at the end to finish the activity.

The local Matera tour guide was great and we learnt a lot about the town's history. The guide at Matera was separate to the guide that took us from Bari, so it was a bit confusing how we had to separate from the rest of the group who were going to Alberobello (as we weren't) and meet the Matera guide separately. Other than that, great experience and would recommend!
