Full description
Begin by visiting the main attractions of the Old Town, including the Basilica of Saint Nicholas and its precious Crypt, the ancient Cathedral of Saint Sabinus, and the millenary Swabian Castle.  Continue to several tasting stops: in a panificio, learn how focaccia barese is made and taste a fresh slice. In a salumeria, learn about different kinds of cheeses and salami while drinking a glass of wine. In one of the typical corners of the town, discover fried street food and the strong flavors of sgagliozze (fried polenta) and panzerotti (fried turnovers). In a gelateria, enjoy home-made ice cream and choose your favorite from a great selection. The tour ends by discovering the modern French part of the city along the famous seaside, opera theaters, and luxury shopping streets.

It was nice and relaxed to be driven with the Rischka, since we had already been running around in the old town for 4 hours. Booked the tour in German, but it was in English, so it was ok! The guides Eleonora and Ibra were super friendly, Ibra also drove us because Eleonora also had to take care of other guests who had booked a bike tour. I find the tour informative, but for €60 per person, so for two €120 a bit too expensive, but we still had the street food tour with us and it was very good.

The guide was very friendly and competent. He knew a lot about the history and the buildings. Unfortunately, despite the appointment, we had to wait more than half an hour before it finally started. The 3 hours offered were also reduced to 2. But overall it was a good tour with lots of sights and good snacks.

Good and prompt communication with the local provider Velo Service Bari in advance, by email and in German. At the appointed time it poured out of buckets. The time was quickly and easily postponed. The tour was about 7km long and well explained. We had time for photos and interior tours wherever we wanted. The local city guide knew German well, but she had this wonderful Italian dialect. The stop in a rustic Salumeria with wine, ham and cheese, the great focaccia and the delicious ice cream - made it a typical Italian experience. Not cheap, but definitely recommended.
