Simply great. With R5 and cable car up, funicular San Joan, hiked a bit at the top, but unfortunately not much because I really wanted to hear and see the choir. Walk back to the monastery, very nice hiking trail, then get a reservation in the courtyard of the basilica for the choir and the Black Madonna, it's free, but you can't get in without it. I was there at 12pm and immediately got the reservation for the choir at 1pm and the Madonna at 1.15pm. It's impressive. The people in line grew quieter and more awestruck as we got closer to the Madonna. The museum and the audio exhibition are also very interesting. I didn't go back with the cable car, but on foot, which is a pretty daring undertaking, you should have some practice and, above all, you should have the right shoes, if possible also sticks, i.e. poles, for support. The level of difficulty is enormous, at least the way I climbed was a great day

I like that this experience was self guided and self paced. The views were incredible. I recommend you go to the information office when you arrive at Montserrat to get a map - they helped me find the buffet lunch, which was really good! Don’t skip the museum, lots of gems there!

Recommended by my brother who had been there years ago. Hard to describe this place, not enough beautiful adjectives. It was so moving. It was a spiritual and humbling experience. I lit a candle for my family, living and deceased. Vies we’re spectacular, in every direction. Cable car ride was fantastic. Lunch was delicious. This was the highlight of our time in Barcelona.
