Excellent experience! We went to Montserrat with my parents (71 and 64) and my kids (1 and 4). And everyone got around great! It is fairly stroller friendly though there are some unavoidable stairs you will have to carry your stroller up, particularly if you choose the cablecar. Ticket pick up is a little tricky. You go to placa de catalunya and find the el Corte ingles and there is a little information stand in front that you can show your voucher too. They are open 9am-9pm which took me forever to find out online. I went to get the tickets the night before so we could get the earliest train out before 9am. I read there was no place to get food unless you book in advance so we brought lunch but that’s just not the case. There is a cafeteria open to everyone, a bar and a little super market for snacks and drinks. Overall a must see experience with amazing views.

One of our highlights of our trip to Spain. Definitely a must see! Be sure to pick up your tickets at Placa Catalunya. The hours are 9am-8pm. The Trans ticket also gets you free metro rides for the full day. The only disappointment was the train on the way back. It was full and no seats available so we had to stand for over an hour. The closer to Barcelona the.more crowded it got. Quite a bad ending for an otherwise amazing day!!! Try to get the first or second train in the morning. It was awesome to have the place with few people for at least 30 minutes. We were also able to see the Image of the Virgin without anyone behind us. So it was awesome!! Highly recommend!! Getting the Trans ticket was definitely easier to get through Get Your Guide than the Montserrat website.
