Full description
Transfer by air-conditioned bus to the Montserrat Mountains to visit the Royal Basilica of Montserrat and see its 12th-century Romanesque carving of the Verge Moreneta (“Black Madonna”). Marvel at the Benedictine sanctuary, founded in 1025 as a mystical backdrop for the Virgin of Montserrat, the patron saint of Catalonia. Following a guided tour, you then have some free time to enjoy the fabulous landscape by yourself, to visit the local food market and the audiovisual exhibition, and to taste some liqueurs.
At the appointed time, you will meet the guide at the bus stop to depart to the prestigious wineries of the Torres family in the heart of Penedés, where you will discover and experience all the secrets about the fascinating world of wine. This visit starts with a narrated tasting of two wines and an Iberian ham tapa. Later, those who have chosen the gastronomic lunch option will enjoy a high-quality menu, made with local products and paired with wines.
The rest of the group will have some free time to enjoy the vineyards and the landscape or maybe go to the restaurant to drink or eat something. Afterwards, everyone will visit the vineyards and the winery to see the new space where the iconic wine of the family is made: Mas La Plana. Drive then to Sitges, one of the most beautiful villages on the Catalonia coast where a guided tour will take place with some free time at the end.
The lunch menu is as follows: bread with tomato and olive oil with Iberian ham, mussels with chardonnay, tomato salad with spring onion and cheese cubes, rice with fish and meat, mató with honey.
