Full description
Visit Park Güell with your timed admission ticket and explore the unique site at your own pace. Marvel at Antoni Gaudí's colorful mosaic art such as the Dragon Stairway with its world-famous salamander. Have a break from the city life while strolling through the green Austria Gardens and take stunning photos of Barcelona from the park's viewing points.  The plan for the park was assigned to Gaudí by Eusebi Güell, a Catalan entrepreneur who wanted to recreate a British residential park on Muntanya Pelada (Bare Mountain). It was opened as a municipal park in 1926, recognized as an artistic monument in 1969 and declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1984. While you have to enter the park at your booked time slot, you can stay for as long as you like after and take it all in.

Come early! I decided to head there early and took the escalator up the street. Glad I did as the place was still empty that early. It's a beautiful park. Beware of the people trying to sell you keychain and such, as soon as security walks by they run off. Skip the house in the right side after the main entrance. You can't go upstairs and just walk through one blue room. I would recommend a guided tour, feel like I missed out a bit

Can we walked by yourself if you want to just walk and experience the park. BUT, if you want to know the meaning behind significant monuments/architecture there, better to go with a guide. I did it on my own and enjoyed the flexibility of time and did what I liked!

no fuss entry to the park. strongly suggest find an early time slot to go to beat the crowds. then, just show up at the gate, show your ticket and you are through. enjoy nice strolls through the park. some places may not be accessible due to covid but otherwise, great visit.
