Full description
Visit Park Güell with your timed admission ticket and explore the unique site at your own pace. Marvel at Antoni Gaudí's colorful mosaic art such as the Dragon Stairway with its world-famous salamander. Have a break from the city life while strolling through the green Austria Gardens and take stunning photos of Barcelona from the park's viewing points.  The plan for the park was assigned to Gaudí by Eusebi Güell, a Catalan entrepreneur who wanted to recreate a British residential park on Muntanya Pelada (Bare Mountain). It was opened as a municipal park in 1926, recognized as an artistic monument in 1969 and declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1984. While you have to enter the park at your booked time slot, you can stay for as long as you like after and take it all in.

The audio guide isn't a traditional one where you can easily hit play and hear information. It's through a website and is played from a browser. The Internet can be tricky in places inside the park and sometimes didn't load so I'd go to places where I had a stronger signal and prelistened to the clip before entering the point of interest. It was still good to have some information but not as detailed as I'd experienced at other attractions. The park itself is wonderful, it truly was a treat to be able to walk around and enjoy my day in such a unique place. Make sure you leave some gas in the tank to walk around the Gracias neighborhood in which Guell is located. I'd highly recommend also visiting Casa Vicens which is nearby.

Beautiful location. Take care how you arrive, some Metro stations leave you with big hills to climb. Lessups isn't too bad. Be aware you can go back around the whole park after going through the main monument. They say you should leave at that point, but it is not necessary as you can go left at the bottom and circle back to the top. You could spend between 2 and 5 hours here and find lot's to do and look at. The Café at the bottom does remarkably good food and snacks at very reasonable prices for an attraction location

To be able to eat inside the gardens at the kiosks you have to do it before 2:00 p.m. because it may be that you are left without eating anything, since food is scarce for all the number of people who visit it. The driver of the "little train" that goes around the gardens inside is very unpleasant and since you haven't bought the ticket beforehand, despite the fact that they can also be purchased on board, she doesn't even let you talk. He tells you in very bad ways and with very little education that you cannot go up and leaves you on the ground. The guys who are at the entrance doors only for the gardens also showed very little kindness. IN ORDER TO SERVE THE PUBLIC, YOU NEED EDUCATED, FRIENDLY PEOPLE WHO KNOW HOW TO DO THEIR JOB WELL AND IN THIS CASE THEY DO NOT EXIST
