Full description
Visit Casa Vicens, the first house of Gaudí, and the first important work by the architect. This was the work that marked his point of departure, an architectural gem which was declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 2005.  Constructed between 1883 and 1885 by order of Mr. Manuel Vicens, Casa Vicens is one of the first masterpieces of Modernism, and an anticipation of the later work of Gaudí.  Originally, it was projected as a holiday home with a garden, in which geometric shapes and rich ornamentation, inspired by the surrounding vegetation, are present both in the exterior of the house and in the different interior spaces. This skip-the-line ticket allows you priority entrance and access to the whole complex.
Includes

Every property designed by Gaudi is different. Some are different on the outside, some on the inside. This property is equally incredible on both the inside and the outside. The staff was extremely knowledgeable and friendly. There is a cafe and a peaceful garden. The property is a photographer’s dream. Every where you look there is something beautiful to savor. We spent two hours just enjoying the ambience.

This is a beautiful house and excellent value for money, especially in comparison with the other Gaudi houses in Barcelona. Tucked away in a quiet street, you feel transported to another world on entering this beautiful house and it’s tiny garden. This is the earliest of Gaudi’s houses in the city and reflects his love of the colourful Moorish style, rather than representing his unique ‘curvaceous’ style he later developed. When we went, there were only a few visitors, so it was a calmer experience than visiting any of the other Gaudi attractions in the city. Highly recommended.

Fantastic site for Gaudí fans and architecture admirers in general. His first residential home project is a must see. This service was just for the skip the line ticket, however, that is all that is needed! The people who work at this house are simply lovely, and wonderful guides in their own right. They are fluent in English, and are more than happy to explain the history and importance of the house. They are down right exuberant about it. If you want to be left alone, they are equally obliging. If you simply want to take photos, they are quick to get out of the frame. I came to the house late for my time slot, due to a problem with the booking of another site earlier in the day. They were very accommodating and let me in, one hour late. What a relief!
