Full description
Firstly, your local Barcelonian guide will take you to a little family cafe where you will try a homemade typical Spanish breakfast: Churros and hot chocolate. Some tiny streets later, you will have the chance to taste and see the diversity of gastronomy in the local Market Hall, where you will taste sumptious Spanish and Catalan cheeses and the famous Iberian Ham (jamón). Along the way, your guide will teach you some great knowledge about both the history and the gastronomy to enhance the whole experience. Have fun and try to drink from a Porrón (you will find out on the day).  You will understand the influence of other cultures in Spanish dishes in one of the most emblematic shops of the city, which  has also been a  master roaster since 1851. Learn the real origins of tapas and try some delicious items in a family restaurant with some wine. Get closer to the Meditéranean sea by sitting around a table and drinking fresh sangria and authentic paëlla, in one of the most picturesque places in the city. Finally, look out at the sea and finish this great adventure close to the beach for a friendship toast with Cava wine.  There will also be a delicious secret dish to look forward to!

Nice tour! Very diverse, because you get a very comprehensive city tour and at the same time you can try local specialties, from sweets to a stop at the market, tapas and more. A connection to the history of the food and its importance for the region is always made. The tour lasted longer than described, which was also due to the fact that we sat together socially and let the morning end. The guide could have been a bit more personal, but was very friendly and accommodating overall. Gladly again.

Food tour was awesome. We did it the day we arrived in Barcelona off a cruise. Helped us get acquainted with different areas of the city and different local foods and wines. Andrés, our guide was awesome. We learned so much and revisited certain areas and markets that we would never have found on our own. A must for a first time visitor or even a retuning one. 5 stars for sure.

Miguel made our tour more than enjoyable. His version of the history of the area was honest and informative. The walk was fun and the info about the local foods was very interesting. We both felt we had learned a lot about Barcelona and the traditions they enjoy. He is an enthusiastic tour guide and made sure everyone was getting the most out of the tour. by the way, the food was delicious.
