From Barcelona: Montserrat Monastery, Easy Hike, Cable Car

I cannot recommend this tour enough, our guide was so informative and was able to provide lots of insight into the surrounding areas as well as the history around the buildings within the local area. The walking tour is breathtakingly beautiful with the most amazing views. We left Barcelona at 8am and were back for 2:30pm which meant I didn't lose the whole day. Whilst the tour is an easy hike there is lots of of walking involved so bring sensible shoes! The tour consisted of a small group of people and I think this was better than a larger group. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone and the cable cart journey is amazing, the pictures do not do justice to this wonderful place and now I have completed the tour I would happily come back and spend the whole day here! If you're in Barcelona this is a must see!

Absolutely lovely day. It was cloudy, but I didn’t mind, made it a bit magical, getting to literally walk through the clouds. Our guide, Jaume, was so nice and considerate. He told us all about the trees and plants and history. He was a frequent visitor, since childhood, so knows all about it. You take the funicular to the top of the mountain and walk down. It’s about an 90 min walk - pretty steep in some places, but I managed. It was a really nice walk. Wouldn’t be good for people who have trouble walking. I am not in any way in shape and I managed. But if you can’t walk or stand for 30+ mins, opt for another tour. The whole place was beautiful. 100% worth going.
