Full description

Escape to the natural landscape of the Montserrat mountains on a half-day sightseeing and wine tasting tour from Barcelona by bus.

Enjoy breathtaking views of the mountain range, taste Catalan wines at a local winery, and walk through historic pathways, learning about the region from your local guide.

The strange shaped mountains of Montserrat is the location of a Benedictine monastery that has been a site of pilgrimage for centuries, thanks to its story of the miracles performed by the Virgin Mary and the fabled 12th-century image of Our Lady.

After a short visit to this historic site, head to a boutique winery, just a few minutes away, and tour one of the most important wineries in the region. Located in an impressive castle that’s more than 1,000 years old, the winery boasts more than 1,000 acres of beautiful land.

Tours are kept to a maximum of 20 people for a more intimate experience, and include a tour of the vineyards and winery, where the local wines become older and wiser.

Thanks to your guide, you will sense the history, soil, sun, and rain that influence the 3 wines you will taste.

Learn about the upkeep of the vines, the grape harvest, how the French oak barrels impact on the flavor, and more. To keep you on your feet, the tasting table will be laden with Spanish tapas.

Vince was absolutely wonderful! He was super knowledgeable about Montserrat. He did an excellent job with the wine tasting. I would highly recommend him as a guide. I also had the pleasure of meeting Leslie. She did such a great job making me feel welcome at the start of the day trip. I came alone and she sat and talked with me for a good bit before the bus took off. Overall excellent team at castle experience!

A fabulous trip! Our tour guide Lesly was lovely and shared lots of interesting information about the places we visited. Montserrat was stunning and I only wish we had had more time there to take everything in. The wine tasting and individual serving of tapa’s was just enough, however, would have enjoyed seeing a-bit more of the actual working of the winery. Overall a great experience with a bubbly, entertaining group of young guides. Many thanks x

We had an absolutely fantastic time on our Monserrat tour with wine tasting and tapas! Our guide, Yerai, was simply outstanding. His extensive knowledge of the area and willingness to answer all our questions made the day even more enjoyable. Yerai's energy and enthusiasm were infectious, and he was always ready to assist anyone in need. His recommendations for a delightful lunch and souvenir shopping were spot on. The entire experience was incredibly well-organized, and we couldn't have asked for a better guide. Thank you, Yerai, for your gracious hospitality - you truly are the best! We highly recommend this tour to anyone looking for a memorable day exploring Monserrat.
