We had a fantastic time in Montserrat with Pere! He was a great, well-informed, and patient guide. He pointed out really interesting views/sites from keys stops that we made en route to the top of Sant Jeroni. And the views along the way were incredibly beautiful! When we reached the hermitage of Sant Jeroni, about 15 minutes more of steeper incline to the top, my 10-year old didn’t want to go on. Pere really motivated him and set the pace for walking and breathing. Our reward at the peak? Crisps, cheese, salami, fruit shake, and candies prepared by Pere, which we enjoyed with an awesome view of the Pyrenees. We took a different route hiking back to the monastery, and saw rock climbers along the way. At the monastery, we had some quiet time visiting with Our Lady of Montserrat. On a previous visit, we experienced a packed church and the boys choir. This time, it was a more solemn and spiritual experience to be in a beautiful near-empty church after communing with nature.

Exceptional guide! Well planned and executed hike!

I thoroughly enjoyed my hiking experience! We not only hiked the known paths but also explored off the beaten paths with history, botany and geological information of the region! Snack and picnic lunch and best spot to have it at, deserves the 5star rating of its own!! I highly recommend if you are looking for an exceptional hiking experience!

Absolutely fantastic! Highly recommend.

Pere is phenomenal. The hike is somewhat difficult (but totally doable), just make sure you’re in good shape. We love that Pere and the rest of his company are bringing active tourism to Barcelona. You have the option of doing three summits (st jeroni and another two). 1800ft in 2.5-3 miles. Do this tour!!!!!! Helpful tips: wear good shoes that have good grip. Bring water. And be on time! The other group with us was a bit late and we had to wait around.
