Full description

Escape the hustle and bustle of Barcelona for the day on a full-day trip to Girona and Figueres, two of the most scenic towns of the Costa Brava. First, visit the historic town of Girona to see Roman remains and medieval buildings. Lose yourself in a labyrinth of narrow streets, and travel through the best-preserved Jewish Quarter in Europe.

Marvel at Girona Cathedral and the widest Gothic nave in the world. Then, see the colorful houses along the River Onyar. Go to the top of Girona’s medieval walls for panoramic views. Next, transfer to Figueres near the border with France, and experience one of the main destinations of the so-called “Dalí Triangle.” Explore the birthplace of Salvador Dalí, and enter some of the places he frequented as an adult. Go to the Dalí Museum, designed by Dalí himself on the ruins of an old municipal theater. Journey into the artist's mind as you explore the vast collection of his work, including some of the strangest artifacts imaginable.

Girona was great, hard to navigate glad for our guide and we were there sunday so got into the cathedral for free. Figures was madness/so crowded no way to enjoy, too many people, not Matt's fault, but the Dali museum should rethink how many people allowed in at one time. Maybe the day of the week, not sure, but that was disappointing and two of the men in our 8 people group were very vocal politically, ill informed and rude. So certain you can figure out who they are obsessed about.

Reuben was a most wonderful guide, full of interesting knowledge and enjoyable company. We could not have asked for a better guide and he made our day trip even better than we hoped for. I would not hesitate to use him as a guide again and would certainly recommend him. We all (five of us) thought he was excellent.

This was a long day for sure, but the drive was so scenic and the stops were fun. Baga, Spain was probably my favorite. So gorgeous and it was like stepping back in time. Andorra was more modern than i expected, but the drive there from France was amazing. If you like shopping, this is the place to do it. Our guide Gloria was passionate about her work and very informative. I was amazed at how well she remembered everyone’s name. Our driver Rafael was sweet and the banter between him and Gloria was the best.
