Full description

Cross 3 borders in a single day on this full-day adventure that leaves from Barcelona. Step foot in Spain, France, and Andorra, and stop in charming medieval villages and beautiful natural landscapes along the way.

Make an early start from Barcelona and soon be in the medieval Catalan village of Baga, surrounded by the rocky peaks of Cadi-Moixero National Park. Explore Baga’s central square and medieval church before crossing the border into France, where you will stop in the charming and beautiful ancient spa town of Ax-Les-Thermes.

Your guide will recommend some of the best natural fountains to visit, and those best suitable for soaking your feet in. You'll then have free time to enjoy the healing waters, browse the local artisan shops and look out for a souvenir to remember your visit.

After an hour of wandering around this typical French village, its time to choose from one of the many local restaurants for a traditional French lunch.  After lunch, you’ll take the scenic route over the Pyrenees Alps into neighboring Andorra, to the capital Andorra la Vella. You will have a little bit of time to visit Andorra la Vella’s tax-free shops for bargain-priced wine and souvenirs On the return drive, admire the Romanesque church of St. Climent and the stunning valley views before continuing on your way back to Barcelona, arriving in time for pre-dinner drinks and tapas or whatever else your evening holds.

OMG - our guide, Arnold (in English) / Arnau (sp - in Spanish) was the best guide I've ever had. His enthusiasm is infectious, and his knowledge is impressive! This tour is long - a whole day - but so worth it! I loved seeing the Pyrenees (and getting another stamp in my passport for Andorra).

Our guide Gloria was great. She knew her stuff and was funny at the same time. We got short changed a little because we we couldn't go to the place we were supposed to go to in France because they didn't clean the roads from ice that lead into Andorra. We ended up going to a small area in France right over the border for about 30 min. When we got to Andorra we were dropped off in an outdoor shopping mall. We walked from the shopping area to the old town and had some good food. Overall the tour was ok but might have been better if we made it to where we were supposed to go.

All together a very nice trip through beautiful landscapes. Do not expect to be able to take fotos as you wish, it is more a non-stop bus tour. 1 star less as the selected cities were not very nice - Baga has nothing to offer, Ax is a less interesting ski village without sites, Andorra-la-Vella is just an ugly shopping village with even no big shopping /tax free deals/brands (I guess nobody of our group bought anything). I wish we had stopped more in the Pyrenees to enjoy the landscape but it was a rushed-through-tour with only 2 stops, unfortunately. It was not a "small group" as indicated (a small group should be counted until max 10people) but 20 were an okay-size, too. The guide Steven was brilliant and the driver (Mauricio?/Argentinia) drove very safely all those 500+km. Thank you for that!! This tour can be recommended especially to tourists of outside Europe. Time was flying although a full 12 hour-trip.
