Full description

Explore Barcelona's history and architecture accompanied by your guide. Check out the emblematic Passeig de Gràcia area and after your guided tour has finished, visit Casa Milà 'La Pedrera', Casa Batlló, or both buildings depending on the option you have selected.

Meet your guide in one of the most popular areas of Barcelona, Eixample. This urban development was overseen by the Catalan architect Ildefons Cerdà to extend the city beyond its ancient walls. Today, besides well-known brands, you can also find modernist buildings including works by Antoni Gaudí.

At the beginning of the 19th century, Passeig de Gràcia became the main residential area for the bourgeoisie, the main patrons of some of the important modernist architects.

During the tour, see two of the most famous examples of domestic architecture from Antoni Gaudi. Your guide will be able to provide context about the history of Barcelona and also discuss other works from important modernist architects.

Afterward, the guide will give you the tickets to visit 'La Pedrera', Casa Batlló, or both buildings depending on the option you have chosen.

She was fabulous. We walked around the Jewish quarter and stopped at various locations. At that time she showed visuals and explained the history of the Jewish people as well as the history of Spain. She connected the various information in a concise manner. She pointed out many things that we just overlooked. The palace walls were made from Jewish headstones. Most were not visible to the eye but there were a few stones in Hebrew. We saw where the inquisition was held. We passed the office of the rulers who administered the inquisition.
