Full description
Explore 2 of Barcelona’s most iconic landmarks on guided tours. Book both tours together in this combo package to see more of the city in one day, with free time in between. Start at Park Güell on Carmel Hill in the north of the city to admire some of Antoni Gaudí’s finest handiwork. Marvel at the Art Nouveau (Modernisme) motifs of its main highlights, such as the mosaic tiles of the salamander statue (“El Drac”) at the park entrance. Take a 1.5-hour break for lunch. Then, make your way to the Sagrada Familia Basilica in the 19th-century extension of the L’Eixample. Admire the contrasting façades of Gaudí’s unfinished masterpiece. Learn the history and symbolism of the depictions of the Holy Family as an expression of Christian ideology on the elaborate Nativity and Passion façades. Go inside the basilica to look up at the towering pillars and stained-glass windows. See models of what the cathedral would look like when completed, as imagined by Gaudí.

First, these are two ‘must see’ places in Barcelona…but be ready for BIG crowds. As with many other reviews, we had problems finding our tour guide - the meeting point is by the subway exit but the guides do not have flags. Look for guides wearing name tags…but most importantly, note the name of the ‘Tour provider’ at the top of the page…ours was Amigo…I finally saw a tiny lady holding the small sign in her hands. Very knowledgeable tour guides but their Spanish accents might be difficult for some. Also, pay attention to the title at the top of the page…this tour did not include the tower as we had hoped (we paid 10Euros and barely made the last ride up at 11am). The tower is not all it’s made out to be. You get to see the city from numerous points, way up high, but they are tiny rooms with small caged windows. There are 400 stairs to go down…very small, winding stairwell. I highly recommend you arrange for transportation to Parc Guell. It is too far to walk(2.7 km)…all uphill!

The tour was good, also the explanation of the guide. However, the duration of the tour is not what it says in the description. After we had viewed Park Guell, we were able to take another look at the park on our own initiative. The guide left. Quite a nice park.

We enjoyed the first part at Sagrada Familia. However the guide did not inform us that we would need to make our own way to Park until a bit before (if we had been told earlier we could have left Sagrada Familiia in plenty of time). This meant that by the time we got to the Park our party was no where to be seen and we couldn’t get In
