What to Expect
The Barcelona Modern Architecture Tour takes in the most important skyline architecture of the city. You’ll see a variety of building styles that mix modern design with classical elements.
The tour starts off with a quick panoramic view of the city. Your private vehicle will pick you up at your hotel and the half-day tour heads off from that point.
During the tour you’ll see the Richard Rogers conversion of the Las Arenas bullfighting ring. This iconic site was repurposed into a modern shopping mall. From the top floor you’ll take in stunning views not only of Barcelona but of Montjuic’s magical fountain as well.
Admire also the Olympic Antenna, the work of Santiago Calatrava, an architect from Valencia. It was built between 1989 and 1992 on Montjuic for the Olympics in 1992.
Afterwards you’ll see Norman Foster’s Tele-antenna on Tibidabo, a telecommunications antenna built in 1992. Enjoy panoramic views of the city from this site.
Your guide will show you additional examples of Barcelona’s modern architecture before you are transferred back to your hotel.
