Full description

Visit the garden complex of Park Guell on Carmel Hill on a walking tour with an expert guide and skip-the-line tickets for priority entrance. Learn about one of Antoni Gaud's most enduring works and take a stroll through the art of a century.

Begin your journey to Carmel Hill to see the public park designed by Gaudi over a century ago. Spot Gaudi's distinctive style in the colorful mosaic tiles of the lizard statue ("El Drac") at the entrance.

Trace the park's beginnings back to 1900 when Barcelona was transforming into a global metropolis. Hear about engineer Ildefons Cerdà, who examined the difficulties faced by a rising city and handled the demands of Barcelona as it grew rapidly in the second part of the 20th century.

Allow your guide to demonstrate how the park's principal architectural features are inspired by Art Nouveau. Learn how historical construction techniques influenced the Modernisme movement in Barcelona as you marvel at the park's sculptures and designs. End your tour on a high note by walking through the park and up the hill to get treated to awe-inspiring views of the city of Barcelona below from the Nature Square.

Our tour guide (Alex) was fantastic. He was easy to understand and kept us interested. The meeting point was easy to find and we were able to see all the points of interests. We were able to explore after our tour which was nice. The park is worth it to see and to have a guide gets you in without waiting in long lines. I highly recommend this tour.

I love the park itself. But about tour wanna say some negative points: I was there 15 min ago as they mentioned on the voucher and we entered the park after 15 min of the actual timing for no reason.. so lost already 30 min just for waiting. This tour might be better for a family. And I have to mention this also: we were in 2 groups and in somehow European named people were in a group/ Eastern named people in another group! That really bothered me! That was very obvious! They supposed to mix ! It was really weird feeling as a tourist who visits first time Barcelona. I’m traveling a lot and never seen such situation before. Luckily our guide was good and nice one. He explained as much a he can and was careful about his group.

Guide and Tour: The guide Alish was very knowledgeable and friendly. The tour was well coordinated and must take if you want to see the park and know the details. Park: However I did not enjoy the park at all. It’s something that can be easily skipped unless you have many days in Barcelona.
