See a multitude of iconic sights on this comprehensive city tour of Barcelona. Soak up modern city life at animated Las Ramblas and the busy Port area and explore the unique Antoni Gaudi influence in a number of breathtaking buildings and monuments.
What to Expect
This inspiring tour of Barcelona takes in the old and the new, exploring its most compelling landmarks and unique architectural heritage. A good starting point is a visit to Montjuic Hill, one of the city's loveliest cultural attractions. It features the Catalan Art Museum, the German Pavillion and makes up part of the Olympic Ring.
After soaking up the excitement of vibrant Las Ramblas in the city centre, the imposing Columbus Monument comes into view. Built to commemorate the explorer's return from the Americas, it is the gateway to the Old Port, now converted into a busy entertainment district by the sea. There are many attractions here such as the Aquarium and Imax cinema and a wealth of bars and restaurants.
A walk down plush Passaig de Gracia offers the chance to browse designer boutiques, but the fabulous architecture is what draws in the crowds. There are several ornate modernist buildings here and particular attention should go to the two Antoni Gaudi creations which are the main attraction. Stand and gaze in awe at Casa Batllò, the famous "house of bones" and La Pedrera.
The last stop on the Barcelona Highlights Tour features Gaudi's unfinished masterpiece, the church of La Sagrada Familia. This is the most iconic sight in Barcelona and definitely not to be missed.
