Angie was the best tour guide ever. She is so kind and also knows a lot of history. She was very informative and told us many stories about Barcelona. We loved every part of our trip. The only downside is we didn’t have transportation back to our starting point or anywhere close to our hotel, so we had to order a cab as we were about 2 miles away from everything! Other than that, everything was amazing. Thank you Angie!!!

End your day by watching the Magic Fountain show.  Start your tour at the famous Ramblas in the heart of the city centre. Walk through the Old Town and visit the famous Boqueria Market. Pass by the Gran Teatre del Liceu, a fine example of modernist architecture and one of Europe's leading opera houses.  Have a look at the incredible façade of Palau Guell, where a young Gaudi showed his mastery of light and creating beautiful shapes. Continue your walking tour to discover the Raval, the most multicultural and off-the-beaten-path district of the Old Town.  Visit the Rambla del Raval to take a picture with the enormous Cat Statue by Fernando Botero, probably the cutest statue you will ever see. Next, take the Montjuic Funicular and enjoy the breathtaking views of Barcelona’s iconic skyline. Reach Montjuic Castle and explore this site which has been a military fortress since its early beginning. Find out how it has witnessed the change of political power in the city.  Enter the dungeons of the several political prisoners that have marked the history of the city. Receive access to the Tower of the Castle, where you can admire 360-degree views over Barcelona. Snap pictures dazzling views of Barcelona and the sea at sunset. Continue your walk and pass by the Olympic Stadium and the Palau Sant Jordi which is famous for hosting the best concerts in town. Along the way, stop at one of the best terraces in the area to savor traditional tapas paired with a local wine or beer. After your break, head to the Magic Fountain which was constructed for the 1929 Universal Exhibition. Angie was the best tour guide ever. She is so kind and also knows a lot of history. She was very informative and told us many stories about Barcelona. We loved every part of our trip. Guide Cathy was excellent! She was very knowledgeable, attentive and passionate about the history and culture! The views were spectacular -! both from the cable car and the castle! A must see!!! Only surprise was the 60-75 min walking around town before the cable car…ordinary we would have loved this, but as we booked this tour right after another walking tour, it was a bit tiring. Would have booked this tour another day if this was noted in the description.
