What to Expect
See the sights of Spain’s major cities in Andalusia and along the Mediterranean coast. Enjoy guided visits in Cordoba, Seville, Granada, and Toledo. Marvel at Granada’s Alhambra, ride past vast vineyards and olive groves, and admire views of the Mediterranean on this 6-day tour.

Day 1, Sunday: Barcelona – Zaragoza – Madrid
Depart from the bus terminal at Calle Balmes 5, at 08:30, for a drive southwest to Zaragoza, the capital city of Aragón. You’ll have some free time to see the impressive baroque architecture of the Basilica of Our Lady of the Pillar.

Continue on to Madrid, where you’ll spend the night at your hotel.

Day 2, Monday: Madrid – Cordoba – Seville
After breakfast at the hotel, you’ll transfer to the bus terminal, located in the underground parking of the Plaza de Oriente, for an 08:30 departure to the land of Don Quixote. You’ll see vast stretches of vineyards along the way and cross the natural border of Despeñaperros into Andalusia, a region that boasts a glorious past.

When you arrive in Cordoba your guide will take you on a city tour to the mosque and other top sites, and along the narrow winding streets of the Jewish Quarter. In the afternoon you’ll continue on to Seville.

Day 3, Tuesday: Seville
Start your day with breakfast at the hotel, and then enjoy a panoramic city tour taking in major monuments including the Cathedral (from the outside), which the second largest in the Catholic world after St. Peters in Rome. Visit the Santa Cruz Quarter, the site of Carmen, and where the myth of Don Juan was born. Your guide will also show you Maria Luisa Park and Spain Square. An afternoon at leisure means you can explore to discover more, and experience the specific flavors of the city.

Dinner and accommodation at your Seville hotel; optional Flamenco Tour.

Day 4, Wednesday: Seville – Granada
You’ll have breakfast at the hotel and then drive east into the heart of Andalusia, passing seemingly endless olive groves on the way to Granada.

Visit the world famous Alhambra (Red Palace), a stronghold of the Moorish kingdom up to 1492.

Dinner and accommodation at your Granada hotel; optional Gipsy Flamenco show in the Sacromonte quarter.

Day 5, Thursday: Granada – Valencia
After breakfast at the hotel you’ll head out on a drive to the Mediterranean coast via Murcia, the capital of the fertile garden of the Segura River, and continue north via Alicante, the second-largest city in the autonomous region of Valencia.

Valencia is one of the main capitals of the Mediterranean coast, and is the birthplace of the internationally renowned delicious dish, paella.

Overnight at your hotel in Valencia.

Day 6, Friday: Valencia – Barcelona
You’ll have breakfast at the hotel before beginning your morning tour of this bright city that includes a drive through the old town. Your drive will continue past the old riverbed of the Turia to the avant-garde Ciudad de las Artes y las Ciencias complex to admire the exteriors of the 6 buildings.

In the early afternoon you’ll depart for the north, on a drive along the Mediterranean coast to Barcelona, home of the famous architect Gaudí, the symbol of Catalonian modernism.
