It was amazing trip with amazing guide Qim Qim. He made this trip so memorable and fantastic. At the begging he met us near by Ketapang Ferry Port, and on the way to the base camp ljen he pooled up the microphone in the car for us to sing Karaoke during the trip it was so fun! Then in the base camp he made for us the plan of the trip to the ljen summit and told us in detail all the instructions needed. And when the trip has started he was so attentive to each person in the group to feel comfortable during the hike. Also Qim Qim was telling a lot of interesting things about ljen life, about people, who are working there, about nature and other amazing things. And when we got up to the ljen summit - Qim Qim prepared for us hot coffee and tea, helped us to make beautiful pictures and videos.After Summit Qim Qim helped us with transfer from Java to Bali.Thank you Qim Qim for such a great experience which I will never forget! And thank you for inspiration and for the new vision of the life!

We absolutely loved this tour, we got to see so much and didn’t feel rushed at all! Haqim was the best guide! He was full of energy, had lots of knowledge and was an all round great guide! He made us all laugh and made the full experience really positive. It wasn’t possible to see the blue fire, however, Haqim made sure we still got a little view by lighting some of the sulphur. Would 100% recommend this tour :)

Start your journey early, trekking through lush landscapes to reach the volcano's crater. Marvel at the surreal blue flames and the stunning sunrise with an unforgettable view of the lake on the summit, creating memories of a truly unforgettable adventure. At 00:05, depart from Banyuwangi city to Ijen mountain (Paltuding), Upon reaching Ijen parking area, take a moment to relax and receive a briefing before beginning the ascent at 2:00 AM. Afterwards when you reach the top of Ijen, descend into the crater to witness the mesmerizing blue fire, exploring its ethereal beauty before climbing back up to enjoy the sunrise. Take some time to chill on the summit of Mount Ijen, soaking in the panoramic view of the lake as the sun illuminates the landscape. By 6:00 AM, head back to the parking area for a well-deserved rest after the hike, before beginning the journey back to Banyuwangi. Arriving at Banyuwangi at 9:00 AM marks the end of your unforgettable Ijen trip, leaving you with cherished memories of this extraordinary adventure. BALI DEPARTURE : Our driver will pick you up from your hotel in Bali .Drive to Gilimanuk(Bali) port then cross with ferry by your self.Upon you arrived in Ketapang port(Java) our driver and guide will meet you then heading to Paltuding(Starting hiking point). Brifing before hiking then continue to hiking to see blue fire(not guaranteed depending of weather) and enjoy the view of lake with sunrise. Back to starting point and prepare for return to Bali island.

Know before you go

  • It may be that other participants join, this is not a private tour.
  • Every first Friday of the month Mount Ijen is closed.
  • Please to send us your Passport for Mount ijen ticket, and Health Insurance.
  • For pick up at Ketapang port or Banyuwangi Train Station should be ready at 23.00.
  • For Pickup and drop off at Licin area there will be additional charge IDR 150K per booking (not per person)
  • Preapare for long journey from bali area pickup and drop off option.
  • Blue fire is not guaranteed, if you are lucky you can get it.
  • Since last Ijen Earthquake on July 2024 all visitors are not allowed to go down to the crater (blue fire area) but allowed to see blue fire from 500m off limit from the crater (ijen rims)

Where to begin. Overall the perfect trip up Mount Ijen and the cherry on top was the guide, qim qim, one of the most genuinely happy person I have ever met and his ray of happy positive energy reflected on us on the tour. Always checking on us making sure we were okay incase we wanted to slow the pace and motivating us. Once reaching the top which flew by due to the excitement we went down to the blue fire point which unfortunately you couldn’t see but that didn’t bother qim qim as he made us some for ourselves showing us how it’s done explaining everything in great detail as he did throughout the whole tour, telling us countless interesting stories. We then went to the top of the crater for sunrise and found a perfect spot for our small group even though there was a lot of people up there it felt so secluded. After qim qim offered us some snacks and coffee we then explored a bit more before our descent. The descent was hard but again qim qim made it a lot easier with his happy energy.
