London: Mary Poppins Walking Tour

1. London: Mary Poppins Walking Tour

Join the Mary Poppins tour of London and explore on foot the magical fun packed walking tour of the film locations and inspirations. Learn about everyone’s favorite nanny and how the films were made. Test out your Mary Poppins knowledge. Can you speak Leery? Learn a few catchphrases from the film to try out when you go home.  It may sound a bit bombastic but it is time to trip the light fantastic. Grab your carpet bag and explore the historic streets of the City of London. See where Mary Poppins Returns was filmed, including scenes from the catchy and energetic Trip a Little Light Fantastic. As this is the sequel to the iconic Disney film Mary Poppins, also visit the now famous corner steps where the bird lady sits. She may not be there but you can hum Feed The Birds to yourself and snap a few photos too.  No tour about a flying nanny would be complete without a trip to the rooftops of London. Grab a lift to capture some stunning views of St Paul’s Cathedral. End your tour at the bank, of course, where Jane and Michael flew their kite up to the windows to save No. 17 Cherry Tree Lane. This 2 hour walking tour will have you singing in the streets and make you want to watch the new film all over again. You will also see many other familiar landmarks and your guide will point out some historic locations and provide additional information, a mix of fiction and reality.

The tour was very interesting. It's always nice to see parts of the city that you would otherwise never see on such film tours. Eva explained everything really well. I also thought it was great of her that she went alone with me because the other participants didn't show up. This of course gave us more opportunities to talk about things.
