Climbing Mount Maglić: Visit to Trnovačko lake

Mount Maglić belongs to the Dinaric Alps and is the highest peak in Bosnia and Herzegovina, standing at 2386 meters above sea level . It is located on the border with Montenegro. With its Trnovačko Lake, it remains unreachable for the ordinary passerby, meaning you need to dedicate time to truly get to know this mountain and the wonders it hides. We depart early in the morning from Sarajevo, making our first stop in the town of Brod na Drini for a coffee break. After 30 minutes, we continue towards the Sutjeska National Park. Upon entering the park, we head to Dragoš Sedlo, where we are greeted by a magnificent view of the primeval Perućica Forest and its Skakavac Waterfall. After taking some photos and a short break, we continue towards Prijevor, where we begin our hike on foot. We will pick up our climbing gear, fill up on water from a nearby spring, and collect our meals before setting off towards our planned destination. Our logistics team will carry the rest of the equipment and tents to the lake, where they will set up camp, prepare dinner, and light a campfire. After 3.5 hours of hiking, we will reach the summit, where we will have our meal, take pictures, and then head towards Trnovačko Lake. The path to the lake is steep and partly covered in gravel. After 3 hours of walking, we will reach the lake, where a well-deserved rest awaits us. At the lake, we can enjoy swimming, dinner, and socializing around the campfire. On the second day, we will wake up to a beautiful morning, enjoy coffee or tea, and a mountain breakfast specially prepared for you. After a day full of relaxation and swimming in the lake, we will pack up the camp and our belongings, leave the lake, and head back to Prijevor. From there, we will enjoy the magnificent sunset. With beautiful memories, photos, and videos, we will return to Sarajevo, knowing that this experience will be one of the unforgettable ones you'll take with you."
