Khao Yai Naitional Park is one of the largest national parks in Thailand and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. You’ll head down one of the many nature trails, admiring the local flora and fauna. As one of the oldest national parks in the country, you’ll find all kinds of animals living in the area, from mammals and reptiles to birds and insects. an overall great experience. if booking with friends - make sure you do a group booking and not separate as there is no guarantee that you will end up on the same tour minivan/group. It is not negotiable to change afterwards. Getting to meeting points were easy even for those unfamiliar with Bangkok rail system. The trek itself was fairly easy to manage - dependent on what season you travel determines if the pathways are wetter than usual etc. The guide was great at helping those that needed assistance (and flexible for those who could manage it better like myself) as I was able to walk a little bit ahead of the group. Not sure if that was normal but it was great for me! Only disappointment was that we were not allowed to swim at the main waterfall as advertised - so it was disappointing at the end of the trip as we were hot! Drop off was also flexible as we were able to say which station to be let out of at the end to get transfer to Siam station.

Our guide was really funny, took time to get to know each of us and even taught us some Thai words. It was a good day trip away from the city of Bangkok and going into the nature. We got really lucky and saw an elephant on our way out too! If you are joining the group tour, the meeting time is between 7am-8am. I arrived a little before 7am and I thought I had missed the group as there was no one. Found out from the guide later that the meeting time for group tour is between 7-8am, a little more flexible as we may be waiting for others to arrive.

I joined a group tour, but when I got to the meeting point, only me, I am the only one. Thanks for tour guide Nancy and the driver, from 7am to 7pm, long time work for me, Nancy is always smiling and telling jokes, brought a pleasant trip to me.
