Embark on an adventure beyond the streets of Bangkok to the lush green forest of Khao Yai – a UNESCO Natural World Heritage site. Experiment and taste the local fruits, jump on a scenic ox-cart ride, and be surrounded by wildlife.
What to Expect
Your journey begins with a hotel pickup, then you head north of Bangkok to Nakhon Nayok province to tour the local fruit market. Here taste a variety of tropical fruits such as mangoes, rambutans, mangosteens, and if you are lucky (and dare to try), the Durian – considered to be the king of fruits and infamous for its aroma.
Further inland, don a traditional farmer's hat and take an ox-cart ride with some great views of the lush green forests and majestic mountains. Dine on delicious Thai lunch served at a Thai-style wooden home for a local dining experience. Upon arriving at Khao Yai National Park, participate in jungle trekking towards the Hew Narok Waterfall. Take in the fresh air and be surrounded by lush greenery throughout your adventurous hike. Keep your eyes open and spot the wildlife along your way.
Complete your day with an essential Thai activity and trek atop a full grown elephant. Reenact the lifestyle of traditional locals when elephants were very helpful companions among Thais in the areas of work and jungle exploration.
