What to Expect
After a 07:30 pick-up from your hotel in Bangkok, drive approximately 3 hours to Kanchanaburi. First, visit the River Kwai. The river has been immortalized through Pierre Boulle's novel about the dramatic events that took place when the bridge over the river was built and blown up. The novel has been made into a film and "The River Kwai March" melody is world-renowned.

Learn about the history of the area, including the 415-kilometer "Death Railway" built between 1942 and 1944.

At 11:30, continue to the elephant camp in Saiyoke district. Here you can ride the elephants and play with them in the river.

After lunch at a local restaurant, walk to Krasae Cave. The cave lies parallel to the Kanchanaburi—Nam Tok railway. Inside the cave, visitors pay homage to Luang Po Tham Krasae, the large Buddha image. Don't miss the Tham Krasae Bridge near to the cave.

At 15:00, travel back to Bangkok, with an expected arrival time of approximately 18:00.
