Travel from Bangkok in a comfortable, air-conditioned vehicle or choose to join the tour at your first stop in Ayutthaya, Wat Lokayasutha. This temple is known for its giant reclining Buddha image, one of the few structures remaining intact here. Your next stop is Wat Phra Sri Sanphet, being part of the royal palace complex this is where royalty performed rituals. It is considered the most important temple of Ayutthaya. Then, visit Wat Mahathat Ayutthaya. One of the oldest and most significant temples in the history of Ayutthaya, it once housed the Buddha's holy relic. Admire the famous Buddha head entwined within the roots of a Bodhi tree. After, tuck into a hearty lunch at a local Thai restaurant, where your guide will be available to advise on local culinary specialties. We was collected around 6.15am and taken to the meeting point to meet Sam. Our driver arrived in a big orange get your guide mini bus so no mistaking the driver (which i was worried about). We had time to grab a starbucks before heading off. The drive was about an hour but Sam was fun and informative the whole way. Plenty of toilet breaks available and lots of info given as well as individual walk about. The food was a cute little cafe which seemed popular. We had a choice of pad thai or red thai curry and was yummy. The temples were beautiful and made our trip special. Sam took lots of piccies for us which was important as a single parent travelling with two teenagers. Couldn’t have asked for a better trip. Thank you Sam and thank you getyourguide! 5 Stars!!

Our guide Ugee (I think that’s how you spell it!) was very knowledgeable about the history of Ayutthaya and Bangkok. We had the right amount of time at each temple, with some info from Ugee and then free time to walk around on our own. All the temples are close together but was so easy to just get back on the air conditioned bus and drive a couple of minutes to the next temple. Lunch was incl at a local restaurant which was basic but very tasty. Highly recommend this tour

The tour was great and we can only recommend the excursion! Sam was a great tour guide who spoke English perfectly and was able to tell us a lot about the ancient temples. He lives for this trip, it was a lot of fun! Lunch was good and pickup was easy. Gladly again!
