Full description
This four-hour journey weaves through the backstreets and alleys of Old Bangkok to small street vendors and eateries that have been serving hungry locals for years. This tour has been carefully curated by a Bangkok chef, who grew up in the district and visits many of the spots his father took him to decades ago. Thousands of guests have discovered the real food of Bangkok in places they’d simply never find alone on this tour. It's not just about the food though. It’s about Bangkok eating culture, its history, and, most importantly, the people behind the food, who have dedicated their lives to cooking on the street. There’s no doubt about it – you’ll most certainly eat well on this small-group tour that’s limited to just eight guests. Some highlights of this 16+ taster menu include working chopsticks over crispy chive dumplings with nam jim jaew sauce, mopping up rich satay sauce with charcoal-grilled coconut chicken skewers and slurping up workers’ noodles in slow-cooked pork broth.

The tour and guides were fantastic. Hing and Fon did a great job in making us comfortable and gave us a great experience to remember. They truly went beyond the call and were a delight to be with. From weaving through the crowds and back alleys of Chinatown, to discovering mouthwatering local eats. Definitely one of the most memorable experiences of my trip to Bangkok.

Tom and Tao were wonderful!! We were stuck in traffic on our way to the meeting point and they calmed us down in letting us know it was ok and helped us find the group. Tom explained each of the dishes and their origin and Tao made sure none of us got lost on the tour. The tour itself was great! We got to walk around China Town and enjoy all the sights and smells and eat about 20 different items! I would totally recommend everyone try this and totally go on an empty stomach, because you will definitely get full. Tom and Tao also ensured that everyone got home safely by waiting for each of us to catch a ride.

Great experience and guide - having the chance to be shown around the hidden gems of street food in Bangkok allow you to build the confidence to go alone for the rest of your trip and more importantly provides a great introduction to the deliciousness and variety of Thai cuisines.
