Full description
Get a deeper understanding of Thai cuisine and culture, a belly full of delicious food, and memories of a historic area in Bangkok rarely visited by outsiders. Start your tour next to Siam Pier at 10:30 AM and be greeted by your guide. Hop aboard one of the klong boats for a scenic cruise along the canals. Get an insight into life in Bangkok as your guide tells you stories and anecdotes about the buildings you pass. Hop off for a bowl of old-style Hokkien noodles from a popular restaurant. Savor the thick udon noodles smothered in a rich beef or pork stew and learn about the origins of this famous dish. After, navigate the old streets, stopping for the best banana fritters in town cooked up in a local home-style kitchen factory. Dive into one of Bangkok's oldest markets which has been serving up dishes to locals since 1899. Here, visit the best stalls and delve into another dozen dishes, like crispy catfish salads, fresh spring rolls with cured sausage and pickles, freshwater fish steamed curry topped with coconut cream, and more mouth-watering bites. Between courses, enjoy a guided tour of the area and learn about local life in this peaceful part of Bangkok. See the wooden remains of the city's oldest silent cinema and discover why this was once the entertainment district. Then, say goodbye to your fellow guests at the market. Your guide will help direct you back to your hotel or find transport for you should you wish.

Do this on your first day in Bangkok! This should be how everyone starts their trip in Bangkok. Be delighted with the great local food, stories from Nutth and Phon, recommendations, and just a good time around Bangkok walking, riding the bus, tuktuk, and the ferry boat. Go with an empty stomach and end with a full heart!

Tom is one of the best guide you will ever meet your life truly he's knowledgeable polite speaks perfectly clear that you will understand local life more in depth. the food that we try was so delicious and awesome. so he's very generous about trying different stuff and we went over way more than we should because of my curiosity. he was so great that we loved every single experience that we did. thing that we could never do on our own regardless of helpful Google or Trip advisor because it is just impossible. I highly recommend you to try this tours because it's not just worth the money it goes beyond your money.

The best tour ever! We highly recommended it! We initially did the chinatown tour with our guide Nutth a few days prior and loved it so much we decided to join him for this tour too. And we were so glad we did. Nutth I'd an expert and we'll connected within the markets of Bangkok, since he grew up here and visited the stands with his dad as a kid himself. So we knew we were getting the best experience. He is knowledge not just about food, but also of the history of Bangkok as well. So while your feasting on crispy pork, tender pork belly, or delicious duck, he will give you a little history lesson as well. He amd his assistant did an excellent job, and we are looking forward to joining his tour again in the future. If we could give more than 5 stars, we would!
