I booked a snowshoeing tour at Sunshine Village. When I was picked up, the guide told me I could not go on the tour because I didn’t have the right pants . I had a base wicking and warmth layer, a mid layer for more warmth and an outer layer that was both wind resistant and water repellent. The guide was adamant and nasty enjoying the power trip of denying me on the van. Personally, I think it was age discrimination as I am over 65. I was so angry and disappointed (it was a beautiful sunny day) the whole day was ruined as no time to book another outing. Fortunately, I was able to go on another day. Our guide, Josh, was great as was the woman at the downtown office. The tour was a wonderful, unique experience with knee-deep snow (I fell the least of everyone so the guide should not have misjudged my abilities) and great views. There were only 4 of us on top of the world with not a sole in sight. My only wish was that is was longer.
