Discover Bamberg’s beer culture by visiting important sites related to the art of brewing, and hear exciting stories about hops and malt. Afterwards, enjoy an exclusive visit to the Schlenkerla brewery at Stephansberg, complete with malting and gusset samples. Hear about the important role beer plays in Bamberg. Eleven family-owned breweries in the Bamberg city area and around 60 breweries in the nearby Bamberger district produce over 400 different kinds of beer, all hand-brewed, including winners of international awards, traditional varieties and new specialties. The sheer variety of beer in Bamberg - from rauchbier (smoked beer) to Franconian Kellerbier, from Ungespundetes or lager beer to bock beer - is amazing.

Sometimes it wasn't clear to me why we went somewhere. For example, we ran up to the cathedral, but found out nothing about the cathedral. Still it was a great tour! I recommend her.
