Discover the beauty of Northern Ireland and the world-famous Giant’s Causeway on a tour from Belfast. Driving through Glenarm, pass Carnlough Harbour, the Waterfoot Caves, and Cushendun Curfew house. Travel up through Glencorp and Glendunn, passing the coastal town of Ballycastle before arriving at the Portaneevy View Point to see Carrick-A-Rede Rope Bridge.  Stop to admire views at the rope bridge and look across to the Mull of Kintyre in Scotland and Rathlin Island. Listen to the stories behind these sights before stopping next at the Dark Hedges, known as the Kingsroad in the Game of Thrones HBO series. Walk among the trees made famous by the Game of Thrones followed by a lunch stop at a traditional pub (costs not included).  Later, visit more locations from the Game of Thrones. Travel by Carnlough Harbour where Arya Stark swam and pass by Magharmorne Quarry where Castle Black was located. The finale of the day is a stop at the Giant’s Causeway where you can explore, walk across the historic stones, and learn about the legend of the Giant Finn MacCool. Discover how and why he built the Causeway.  After your day of exploring is done, travel directly back to Belfast via the inland route and get dropped off back in the city center or at the activity provider's office in Queen's Quarter.

After the Giant’s Causeway, stop at the ancient ruins of Dunluce Castle, a castle ruin unlike any other in the world. Spend 30 minutes at Ireland's oldest whiskey distillery, Bushmills. Visit the gift shop or enjoy a taste of this world-famous and critically acclaimed whiskey. The final stop of the day is at the stunning Dark Hedges, so easily recognizable from Game of Thrones. Finally, relax on the comfortable return journey to Belfast.

Disembark and stretch your legs, and explore the harbour or grab refreshemnts and use the toilets. We now travel deeper into the glens of antrim and to cushendun caves, discover the stunning caves and enjoy spectacular views over looking the mull of kintyre in Scotland which is easy to see on any clear day. The iconic dark hedges is our next port of call, and is one of the most instagramable spots in Northern Ireland, you will have the chance to walk along the famous road and also grab lunch at your own expense at the local pub. After lunch we re-board the coach and head to the highlight of the tour, the Giant's Causeway. At Ireland’s only World Heritage Site, you’ll spend some time climbing over the ancient stones and enjoying the myths and legends that surrounds this world-famous attraction at no extra cost! After the Giant’s Causeway, we make a short stop at the ancient ruins of Dunluce Castle where you can grab a quick photo before heading back to central Belfast for the final leg of the tour.

We continue to Portaneevy, where you’ll enjoy panoramic views of the dramatic Causeway Coast. From the viewing platform, marvel at the famous Carrick-a-Rede Rope Bridge and, on clear days, catch a glimpse of Scotland across the sea. A favorite among photographers and Game of Thrones fans, the Dark Hedges is a stunning avenue of 300-year-old beech trees, famously depicted as the King’s Road. Enjoy lunch here, with options to dine at The Hedges Hotel or savor your packed meal amidst this magical setting. Before reaching the tour’s highlight, we’ll make a quick photo stop at Dunluce Castle. This atmospheric ruin, perched on a cliff edge, dates back to the 13th century and served as the Great Castle of Pyke in Game of Thrones. Giant's Causeway Tour:  The first stop of the tour will be at Carrickfergus Castle, the castle was built by the Normans in 1177 AD. It remains one of the best preserved medieval structures in Ireland and presents a great opportunity for photographs. We will now travel along the coastal road towards Carnlough Harbour for a comfort stop, Carnlough Harbour is an old picturesque fishing village. The village will be known to Game of Thrones fans as the Free City of Braavos. We now venture further along the coast road towards Portaneevy viewpoint, at this stop you can see the famous Carrick-a-rede rope bridge (we currently can’t access the rope bridge to cross it as coach tours have no accessibility). Our next location is the iconic Dark Hedges which provides one of the best opportunities for that ‘Instagram’ photo! Fans of Game of Thrones will instantly recognise this as the Kings Road from Game of Thrones. Whether you are a fan of the show or not, these 300 year old beech trees are an incredible sight. This will also be our main lunch stop for the day and you are welcome to eat your pre-packed lunch that you brought with you or we would recommend selecting from a menu and eating at The Hedges Hotel. The next stop in our tour will be at Bushmills, this small village located on the North Coast is filled with a rich history and enchanting natural beauty. Famed as the home to the Old Bushmills Distillery, this picturesque village casts a spell on visitors with its age-old charm, phenomenal landscape, and world-class whiskey. We are now on the build up to our main stop, just before this we will make a quick photo stop at Dunluce Castle, Dunluce is a now-ruined medieval castle which was built in the 13th century. This castle also features in Game of Thrones as the Great Castle of Pyke. The next stop is the highlight of the tour and what you have come to see, The Giant’s Causeway. The Giant's Causeway has often been described as the 8th wonder of the world, and once you have visited the site you’ll quickly see why. The area consists of around 40,000 hexagonal basalt columns formed during a volcano eruption 60 million years ago. This is one of the world’s great natural attractions although many Irish passionately believe the Causeway was built by the Celtic warrior hero Finn McCool. We will tell you the story and let you decide. We will now make our way back to Belfast for approx 6pm. Belfast City Tour 1 Day Pass: This Belfast hop on hop off bus tour provides you with a comprehensive look at this special city and allows you to explore every area with 19 stops around the city. Walk across the rope bridge where Balon Greyjoy meets his death when his brother Euron throws him off (season 6). Stand in the camp where Brienne of tarth beats Loras Tyrell in a battle. Visit the Iron Islands, (Ballintoy harbour) home of the Greyjoys and finally, the iconic Dark Hedges otherwise known as the King's Road, where Arya Stark sets off on her journey as a boy in season 1.
