Depart central Belfast onboard your luxury coach and head out onto the world famous causeway coastal road, voted one of the worlds best drives! Our first stop of the day is Carrickfergus castle where you will have time to grab a quick photo, the castle was built in 12th century by the Normans and still looks incredible even today. Next we will travel through the glens of antrim and navigate the tight famous coastal road to carnlough harbour, a picturesque Irish fishing village that time has almost forgotten. Disembark and stretch your legs, and explore the harbour or grab refreshemnts and use the toilets. We now travel deeper into the glens of antrim and to cushendun caves, discover the stunning caves and enjoy spectacular views over looking the mull of kintyre in Scotland which is easy to see on any clear day. The iconic dark hedges is our next port of call, and is one of the most instagramable spots in Northern Ireland, you will have the chance to walk along the famous road and also grab lunch at your own expense at the local pub. After lunch we re-board the coach and head to the highlight of the tour, the Giant's Causeway. At Ireland’s only World Heritage Site, you’ll spend some time climbing over the ancient stones and enjoying the myths and legends that surrounds this world-famous attraction at no extra cost! After the Giant’s Causeway, we make a short stop at the ancient ruins of Dunluce Castle where you can grab a quick photo before heading back to central Belfast for the final leg of the tour.

From Belfast: Giant's Causeway & Game of Thrones Day Tour

Our 5 star Giants Causeway tour departs at 9am from our Tour Shop, located at 10 Great Victoria Street, from here we will make our way towards Carrickfergus Castle for our first stop. The first stop of the tour will be at Carrickfergus Castle, the castle was built by the Normans in 1177 AD. It remains one of the best preserved medieval structures in Ireland and presents a great opportunity for photographs. You can also find a statue here of King William lll who landed in Carrickfergus on 14th June, 1690. We will now travel along the coastal road towards Carnlough Harbour for a comfort stop, Carnlough Harbour is an old picturesque fishing village and more recently famous for featuring in the famous Game of Thrones HBO show. The village will be known to Game of Thrones fans as the Free City of Braavos. We now venture further along the coast road towards Portaneevy viewpoint, at this stop you can see the famous Carrick-a-rede rope bridge (we currently can’t access the rope bridge to cross it as coach tours have no accessibility). The purpose-built viewing platform offers panoramic views of the Causeway Coast's stunning natural environment and coastal headlands. On a clear day and Portaneevy you will see as far as Scotland! Our next location is the iconic Dark Hedges which provides one of the best opportunities for that ‘Instagram’ photo! Fans of Game of Thrones will instantly recognise this as the Kings Road from Game of Thrones. Whether you are a fan of the show or not, these 300 year old beech trees are an incredible sight. This will also be our main lunch stop for the day and you are welcome to eat your pre-packed lunch that you brought with you or we would recommend selecting from a menu and eating at The Hedges Hotel. The next stop in our tour will be at Bushmills, this small village located on the North Coast is filled with a rich history and enchanting natural beauty. Famed as the home to the Old Bushmills Distillery, this picturesque village casts a spell on visitors with its age-old charm, phenomenal landscape, and world-class whiskey. We are now on the build up to our main stop, just before this we will make a quick photo stop at Dunluce Castle, Dunluce is a now-ruined medieval castle which was built in the 13th century. This castle also features in Game of Thrones as the Great Castle of Pyke. The next stop is the highlight of the tour and what you have come to see, The Giant’s Causeway. The Giant's Causeway has often been described as the 8th wonder of the world, and once you have visited the site you’ll quickly see why. The area consists of around 40,000 hexagonal basalt columns formed during a volcano eruption 60 million years ago. This is one of the world’s great natural attractions although many Irish passionately believe the Causeway was built by the Celtic warrior hero Finn McCool. We will tell you the story and let you decide. We will now make our way back to Belfast for approx 6pm.

Belfast City Tour 1 Day Pass: This Belfast hop on hop off bus tour provides you with a comprehensive look at this special city and allows you to explore every area with 19 stops around the city. The tour operates seven days per week and tickets are valid for 2 days. If you decide not to hop off on the route the tour will take approximately 1 hour 30 minutes.  Some of the attractions where there are stops include Titanic Belfast (Discounts available), Crumlin Road Jail, HMS Caroline, Queens University, Botanic Gardens and the political wall murals.

We then turn off at Armoy and venture through picturesque countryside scenery until we reach the iconic Dark Hedges tree tunnel. These magnificent beech trees, dating back over 300 years, create an enchanting tree tunnel that has become a popular attraction and was even featured on HBO's Game of Thrones. Prepare to be amazed by this natural phenomenon. 2. Carrick-A-Rede Rope Bridge view point - Our next stop is the famous Carrick-A-Rede Rope Bridge view point only. A 17th-century bridge suspended almost 100m above the Atlantic Ocean. Enjoy breathtaking views of Rathlin, Carrick-A-Rede Island, and the Scottish Isles. ** Please note that tickets must be purchased in advance if you wish to cross the bridge, and additional time would need to be added to the tour on request to accommodate this thrilling experience ** 3. Ballintoy Harbour - Continuing along the scenic North Antrim Coastal Road, we arrive at the picturesque Ballintoy Harbour. This charming harbour is known for its rugged rocks, lime caves, and stunning coastal views. Take a moment to soak in the beauty of this serene location. 4. White Park Bay Viewing Point - Experience impressive views of the golden sandy beach along the North Atlantic Coast at White Park Bay Viewing Point. Please remember to purchase tickets in advance to enter the visitors' centre. ** Tickets are not needed to visit the stones and we can show you the free way to do this but the Car Parking is charged at £10.00 paid locally. 7. The Causeway Hotel - Enjoy a delicious lunch break at The Causeway Hotel, (NOT included in the price) 8. Dunluce Castle Viewing Point - Marvel at the stunning view of Dunluce Castle, perched atop the cliffs of the North Coast. Built-in the 1500s, Please note that tickets must be purchased in advance to enter the ruins, and additional time will need be added to the tour to accommodate this stop. 9. Bushmills Distillery - Conclude your tour at the world's oldest licensed distillery, the renowned Bushmills Distillery, which has been producing whiskey since 1608. Enjoy some time to explore and shop, and if time permits, indulge in a whiskey-tasting experience at your own expense.
