Full description

Scale one of Bali’s natural wonders with a private, early-morning hike up Mount Batur, including breakfast and a trip to a coffee plantation afterwards.  With all entry tickets, accommodation transfers, and an expert local guide also included, the only thing you’ll have to worry about is enjoying the panoramic views.  Begin your ascent at the base of Mount Batur after an early pickup from your accommodation. You’ll even start your jungle trek on an exclusive path with fewer trekkers around. Savor the pristine night sky away from the city lights as you hike. After a 2-hour trek, you’ll then be rewarded at the top with sunrise views over the natural landscape and ocean horizon. And even better, you get to enjoy breakfast at the volcano’s summit.  On the way down you’ll enjoy more vistas, such as Lake Batur, an enormous volcanic crater lake.  You’ll also have the opportunity to stop off for a cup of local Luwak coffee at a coffee plantation before being dropped off back at your accommodation.

A fantastic experience all round! Very well organised. Beautiful hike & sunrise- absolutely worth the early start! Our guide Wayan was brilliant, full of energy (especially as the morning went on as we woke up more!) and very knowledgeable about the local area. Our driver Putu Dibya was absolutely lovely, a very smooth journey and his information about Bali was so interesting making our experience even better 10/10.

This was one of the most phenomenal experiences! The morning start is rough and the hike is pretty tough (recommend starting earlier / packing light if you’re less fit) but the views from the top make everything worth it! We got to the top for 05:30 so were able to spend plenty of time eating breakfast during the sunrise and exploring the summit afterwards, before the walk back down and some time in the hot springs (highly recommended!) Our guides were superb all day - (Super)Nova took us up the mountain and was kind, full of energy and a lot of fun, a really genuine guy, who helped to carry our bags. Our driver Wira eased us into the day, made us feel safe and quiet in the morning before capping off the day with flexibility to our schedule on the way back to the hotel and gave us a insight into Bali history and culture on the drive.

Easy booking. Contact via WhatsApp with the Yourbalitrekkingtour. Our accommodation Mick's Place was apparently outside the pick-up zone, but we were picked up from the accommodation and brought back for a small & fair surcharge. Friendly driver Agus picked us up from the accommodation, let us know before pick up and drove us safely to the start point in his spacious car. We rested in the car and arrived safely. Our guide Komang Kes is very personable and has always helped us. My wife and I were in a group with a couple and our guide. Quite a few groups go this route, which is challenging but really doable. The guide always helped when needed and everyone made it to the top. He knew a lot and explained everything to us in good English. The sunrise definitely compensates for getting up early and the strenuous ascent.
