Me and my friend had such a lovely morning doing this tour to Mount Batur. Our driver, Kadek Dwita, was punctual, kind, and funny. He not only got us from point A to point B safely, but made sure that we were comfortable every step of the way and always checking in! He also gave us a lot of information about the places we were driving through which was super interesting and made the drive go by quickly. Our guide, Ketut, was also awesome. He let us set the pace and made sure we had enough breaks and water. He made sure to keep us safe especially during some of the steeper or more slippery areas. He also had a lot of knowledge about the volcano and does this hike every single day which is incredible. I highly recommend this tour. Me and my friend are not morning people, but the beautiful views and people alone the way made it so memorable and worth it.

Kadek not only drove us safely and comfortably, but also shared interesting information about Bali and local culture along the way. Ketut was very caring and attentive — he always offered a helping hand during the more difficult parts of the hike and made sure we felt safe and supported throughout the trip. Everything was perfectly organized, and we truly enjoyed every moment. Highly recommended!

Full description

Embark on a guided hike up Mount Batur on a day trip from Bali. Watch the sunrise from the top, tuck into a delicious breakfast, and take a trip to a coffee plantation afterwards.

Begin your ascent at the base of Mount Batur after an optional early pickup from your accommodation. You’ll even start your jungle trek on an exclusive path with fewer trekkers around.

Savor the pristine night sky away from the city lights as you hike. After a 2-hour trek, you’ll then be rewarded at the top with sunrise views over the natural landscape and ocean horizon. And even better, you get to enjoy breakfast at the volcano’s summit. 

On the way down, you’ll enjoy more vistas, such as Lake Batur, an enormous volcanic crater lake. 

You’ll also have the opportunity to stop off for a cup of local Luwak coffee at a coffee plantation before being dropped off back at your accommodation or meeting point.
Before and after your hike, enjoy the exclusive use of Mt. Batur Lounge, the only villa-style lounge around with clean, modern toilets and a comfortable shower facility. After refreshing yourself in the showers, enjoy a hot cup of tea or coffee in the lounge.
