Full description

After a morning pickup at your hotel, head to your first stop, a Batuan traditional Balinese house, located in the Gianyar regency. Follow your guide to a typical local home. Admire Balinese architecture – a compound with several buildings – and learn the importance of each part.

Then journey to the Tegallalang rice fields of Ubud, famous for its beautiful scenery of rice paddies and the traditional subak irrigation system. Get a stunning view of the rice terraces on the slopes of the hills across the valley, and enjoy the cool and breezy climate.

Next, visit a coffee plantation to learn about the famous luwak coffee. Discover how the farmers collect the still-intact beans from the forest floor and clean, roast, and grind them.

Study the entire process of making the unusual brew, and get a chance to try some other coffees, tea, and cocoa drinks.

Continue to Ubud Royal Palace (Puri Saren Ubud) and see one of the area's most prominent monuments. Constructed in traditional Balinese style, the palace has been well-preserved by Ida Tjokorda Putu Kandel's heirs. Marvel at the gardens and the banyan tree that provides shelter from the heat.

Afterward, make your way to Sacred Monkey Forest and discover the home of around 200 monkeys in Ubud. Believed by the locals to be "God's Guard of the Dalem Agung Temple," the long-tailed macaques dwell in certain areas and can often be seen on the roads.

End your tour at Tanah Lot Temple, known for its enchanting seaside setting and sunset views. Look at the ancient Hindu shrine, perched in the crashing waves, and watch the sun melt over the horizon. Then, travel back to your hotel or accommodation.

Our driver, Edi, picked us up on time and first explained the day's activities to us in detail. Cool drinks and snacks were also available. Edi was very friendly and courteous, he showed us other interesting sights without asking, so we also saw the Barong dance. He was also happy to take pictures of us. It was a great day and experience with him. We can only recommend Edi to everyone, his English was perfect for us too, thank you again.

Nyoman was an amazing tour guide! He taught us about each place we went to and took many pictures. He made us feel so welcome in Ubud and answered any questions we had. I definitely recommend this sweet man as your next tour guide. I would give 10/5 stars if I could! Thank you Nyoman:)

We had a great experience from start to finish. We booked our tour the evening before when it was an early start the next morning and the company swiftly confirmed receipt and said our driver would be ready. Teddy who arrived the following morning was an excellent guide. He took us to some really interesting places, explaining the culture and significance of the stops at each point. He was helpful in taking photos for us and had the perfect level.of bring friendly and involved but also leaving us to enjoy the experience. Teddy's calm and experienced nature in the Monkey Forest also went some way to make us feel safe. All the stops were great. The coffee plantation allows you try all.the coffees on offer without pressure to buy. The Monkey Forest was amazing and getting a 'Monkey selfie' was well worth the money. The art stops and Balinese home stops were also really interesting. We genuinely had a great day and agreed it was a great last minute decision to go!
