Full description
Following pick-up from your hotel at 07:00, journey to a coffee plantation in the lush landscapes of Bali and learn how the local kopi luwak is produced. Known for its high price due to the unusual method of using beans digested by the Indonesian civet (a cat-like mammal), the result is often referred to as "cat poop coffee." Taste some of the curious brew, along with tea products produced in the region. All tastings are complimentary, except for the luwak coffee, which is at your own expense (around US$5 per cup). Then, head to the start point of your trek at approximately 10:30. Walk down a small path with hundreds of steps and get stunning views of the lush green jungle surroundings. Admire a waterfall in the distance as it falls through the dense forest in 6 cascades. Walk up to the waterfall to see the fresh water tumbling from heights of 260 feet (80 meters). Then, recharge over lunch at a local restaurant at the end of your trek. Continue to Ulun Danu Temple (Pura Ulun Danu Beratan) to see the reflections of the sacred Hindu monument, dedicated to Shiva, shimmering in the waters of Lake Beratan. Return to your hotel at around 16:00 and get dropped off at the end of the tour services.

An incredibly impressive waterfall. And super beautiful. However, the following applies: the first paint first or make the nicer pictures. We were lucky to be there first. From around 10 a.m. other tourists will also be active to explore the waterfall down there. Down is a good keyword because to see the waterfall you have to climb almost 300 steps down the mountain, so if you're not good on foot you should take your time because if you go down you have to go back up. On the subject of temples: the Bratan Temple is unfortunately only beautiful to look at in pictures. The "park" around the temple is full of kitsch. In this sense, I have no idea what a 1.2m tall Spongebob figure is doing there. What is sadly lacking in culture is made up for in this place by crowds. It's a shame...this place must have been very handsome. Nevertheless, we enjoyed the tour and with our driver we were able to find something good to eat from the tourists.

We had a great day with our driver Pande. Spent around 4 hours at the waterfalls- They were amazing - don’t miss out on going it’s worth it!!! Pande then took us to the Ulun Danu Temple after the waterfalls. He was very helpful and informative throughout the day and made the experience a great one. Highly recommended...

My driver, Teddy, was wonderful. knowing I havent eaten breakfast for a 7 am pick up, he offered on many occasions to stop and get food. Pina, my guide to the waterfalls was extremely engaging and wholesome. I mistakenly booked a private tour for myself and felt very comfortable and welcomed.
