Visit the village of Blahbatu, and watch the fine process of making an entire Gamelan orchestra. Get your dose of history at the Archaeological Museum, home to ancient coffins of the royal families and dating back to 500 BC.
Continue on to the plantation village of Sri Batu, a place that offers a range of eastern spices, cloves, coffee, and fruit. In the cool mountains of Kintamani you'll be able to view the ancient volcano of Mount Batur. Black lava runs from the peak of the Mount Batur to the valley below and beside it lies the glistening lake of Batur.
