Full description

Embrace the opportunity to don your swimwear, go barefoot, jump, trek, and swim deep into the heart of a hidden Balinese canyon. Travel by air-conditioned minibus to Tegenungan Waterfall, just a stone’s throw from popular Ubud and walk over 100 steps to get up close and personal to the waterfalls.

Spend a busy afternoon exploring some of Bali’s best-loved temples. Start off at Goa Gajah, otherwise known as the Elephant Temple. In true Hindi style, this temple is elaborately decorated with otherworldly carvings and taken over by sprawling tree roots akin to Angkor Wat.

Next, visit one of the few places in Bali that can compete at the Gunung Kawi Temple. Learn about how it's one of the island’s oldest monuments, a must to experience the history and culture of Indonesia. To get there, pass through the beautiful terraced rice fields that Bali is so famous for.

Return to your accommodation with an all-around feel for the island’s nature, cuisine, and architecture.

Yogi was fantastic, an excellent tour guide and a great person to hang around with for the day. The tour was fantastic, with the highlight for me being the canyon exploration. I’d recommend you being of reasonable fitness as the current can be quite strong, and I would definitely recommend wearing some sort of water shoes / trainers you don’t mind getting soaked, as I wouldn’t have wanted to have bare feet on the rocks! The temples add a bit of interesting culture, but both of them and the waterfall have a number of stairs to negotiate - please be aware of this before booking.

The hidden canyons are really worth a trip! In the presence of a guide, you climb and swim through flowing water and over large stones, which was sometimes a real adventure. Without the help of our guide it would be really dangerous! But the feeling of being almost alone in the middle of this canyon, this wild nature, is priceless. The waterfall and the two temples, which we also visited, were also very impressive. We would also like to thank our driver and guide Desa again, who drove us safely from place to place and was able to tell us a lot about Balinese culture and history at the temples.

It was really mega, the waterfall was unfortunately very dirty when we were there, but still nice to look at. My guide Komang spoke very good English and was extremely nice. He takes great pictures of you and explains everything you want to know and much more. I particularly liked the trekking through the river, so if you like adventure, this tour is the right place for you.
