Full description
This is an easy pedaled downhill cycling tour which will bring you closer to a part of Bali that is rarely visited by tourists. More than just a fun cycling day out, it is an experience of cultural exploration, which will help you to understand Balinese culture and admire the truth of the beauty of the island. While cycling you have a chance to visit a local school for charity program, organic farm with free coffee tasting, local priest compound visit and many unique activities are inserted, simple but will definitely leave a deep impression of your Bali holiday experience. Enjoy a hotel pick up and then drive to the hilly Kintamani volcano area of Bali. On your way, you stop off at the local Village School for you to meet and experience a typical rural Bali school. The supplier donates a portion of your tour cost to purchase essential School work items to the children of the School, which will be distributed to the children during your visit. If you like, you can also bring along some extra items to personally give to the children when you visit the School. You then enjoy a light breakfast, whilst admiring the magnificent view of Lake Batur. After breakfast, you cycle downhill from Kintamani to Ubud, which is duration of approx. 3.5 hours cycle. During the cycle, you experience the rural panoramic areas of Bali while your local, trained guide will explain the culture, traditions and realities of Balinese life and culture. You then take a visit to a local family compound where you interact with the locals. There will be a local priest who companies you with a cup of coffee while having a genuine conversation with the guide as the translator. This is a great opportunity to learn about Balinese family and rural life. This was an amazing day we really enjoyed visiting the school. I would recommend taking 20 of everything as the teachers try to spread the love by giving each class a turn. There were about 20 children in each year, so I would take 20 packs of pencils and possibly 20 drawing books so each child could have a set each. The cycling was mostly downhill, there were a few hills and I feel you have to be at a reasonable fitness level. Beautiful country side and an amazing guide. We also had lunch at a local restaurant, which was lovely.

Our family of 5 just loved the trip - fantastic and informative guides. A real insight into Bali life without the crowds and huge value for money. Couldn’t have asked for a better experience- best of the trip so far. Can I say again, the guides were fantastic and were passionate and knowledgeable Louise NZ

Very well organized day. Enjoyed it thoroughly. We are in our mid 60s and no problem at all cycling for the 27kms as it is all downhill, any level of fitness will love this experience. We drove up to Kintamani to enjoy the incredible view to the volcano and huge crater.... then went to coffee plantation and tasted many different types of coffees and teas including luwak...went a bit nuts in the shop afterward buying home made coffees, teas and chocolate. Also got to see some of the little animals that poo out the coffee seed..... then did some cycling thru the most beautiful rice fields and villages... stopped at a village to meet 85yr old sharman in his private compound. His family gave us some freshly brewed coffee and home made snacks that were yummy. More riding thru rural villages and ending up at a lovely little restaurant in the rice fields for an authentic indonesian meal which was great. Can't say enough about how informative our guide was ... they were all wonderful.
