We completed the trip with Made Sucita, and we really enjoyed our day! Made arrived super punctual to our hotel to pick us up, then we visited tegalalang rice terraces. From there he then drove us to Tirta Empul temple and then to a really nice coffe plantation, which we really enjoyed. After that he gave us very good recommendation for a lunch spot, and then continued on to Penglipuran village, bamboo forest and waterfalls on our way home. Made was really kind and knowledgeable and shared with us parts of their culture and history! We really had an amazing day! Definitely recommended!

Full description

On the way to Penglipuran village, stop at rice terrace. Penglipuran village is surrounded by traditional Balinese countryside and has been left untouched by modernization. After visiting the village, take a walk through the bamboo forest.  Then, spend a few hours at the hidden Tibumana Waterfall exploring the surrounding rainforests and swimming in the natural rock pools. After, head to the village of Temen to visit a coffee plantation, learn about the coffee-making process, and sample a few varieties. Stop at the sacred Tirta Empul Temple, where the Balinese bathe in the sacred waters for healing and spiritual benefits. Finally, check out the Tegalalang rice terrace near Ubud.
