Full description
After being picked up from your hotel in Baku, set off for the Qala Archaeological and Ethnographic Museum Complex located nearby. Arrive at the ancient settlement of Absheron, where you will find barrows, fire traces, and tombs that were discovered during archaeological excavations. Qala village is one of the oldest settlements in the northeast Absheron. Stroll through the open-air museum complex and see how these historic sites have been preserved. Admire bronze age, medieval, and 19th-century artifacts.  Next, begin an interactive tour which consists of 4 master classes: cooking, pottery, carpet weaving, blacksmith. Visit a potter and learn how to create something from clay. Visit the carpet-maker and learn how to weave a carpet. Head into the kitchen and learn how to spread lavash and cook on a “Sac” (a metal saucepan). Finally, visit the blacksmith to learn how people used to forge iron by beating it. After exploring Qala, get transferred to Art Club Restaurant located in the Old City. Meet a local wine expert who will conduct a wine tasting with 6 local wines (2 red, 2 white, 1 rose, 1 dessert wine). Savor each variety paired with local dishes and snacks. Afterward, take a convenient transfer back to your hotel where the tour ends.
